A young R-P girls' squad faced two formidable tasks in their pool play holiday tournament in La Crescent, the host squad Lancers and 8-0, 7th ranked Spring Grove. Against the Lions, the Trojans fell behind early and never got back into it. R-P made only 1 of 12 three-pointers. They dished out only 6 assists as a team. Just one player, senior Laura Rislove, made double figures. She had led the Trojans gals with 14. The Lions ultimately prevailed 72-42. Versus 7 win 4 loss La Crescent, things looked better for a half. The score was tied at the intermission, but then a more seasoned Lancer squad pulled away for a 67-51 victory. Rislove again led the Trojans in scoring (17) and rebounding (10). Junior Kenzie Lind added 14 points, 7 rebs, 5 blks, and 5 stls. Freshman Kendra Crawford was 6 of 13 from the field and 4 of 4 from the free throw line for 16 points in the two games combined.
