A “city man” visiting a dairy farmer asked, “Do you really like milking all those cows?” “I don’t mind it,” the farmer replied, “Sometimes I even get a kick out of it.”

Ole and Lena were having a serious talk. “Ole, we both know how sick I am,” Lena said, “before long I’ll be gone to my reward, there’s just one thing I want you to promise me. I want you and my mother to ride in the same car in the funeral procession.” After a bit, Ole said, “well, okay, but you know it will ruin my whole day.”

“A home” is the place where part of the family waits until the others have returned with the car.

Prayer for April
The Maples put green jackets on.
The sun’s a little stronger,
Our brook has ripped its coat,
And days are growing longer.
Brown blades of grass
Are green again.
The world is singing praise -
And so I thank you, too,
Dear God
For April’s thirty days.

Nice to hear “Thank you”
Coming out the door of a bank a friend said, “thank you, sir,” to a gentleman holding the door open for her. He smiled and said, “wouldn’t you like to walk thru again?” She replied, “not really, but why do you ask?” The man replies “It has been so long since I have heard “thank you,” when I held the door open for a lady, I just thought it would be nice to hear it again.” Isn’t that something, so simple as a “thank you,” could mean so much to one person.

Hints
When making a cake from a boxed cake mix and you what it to be extra tall and light, whip the eggs first until they’re fluffy, about 3 mins on high. Then add the cake mix and stir just until combined. Then add the oil at the last moment before pouring the batter into the pan.

Dust cornstarch lightly on a cake before icing it. This keeps the icing from running and gives your cake a smooth professional appearance.
