Was doing some hand sewing the other day and I needed a certain color, so I went to my sewing basket and sure enough I had the right color and it was a wooden spool and the price was marked 15¢. I don’t know how old it was, but I do know a spool of thread is about ten times that now and it comes on plastic spools. I have been saving my empty spools thinking someday I might have a cute shelf made out of all my spools, but it’s just a thought now. I would have to mix the wooden and plastic and don’t know how that would look, and they all are a different size - maybe I’ll just forget it.

He told the boys at the coffee shop that next week is our 50th wedding anniversary. He told them that he took his wife to South America for their 25th anniversary. “Oh my that was great. What are you going to do for the 50th?”
“I’m thinking about going back down there and picking her up!”

After falling down a flight of stairs, a man asked his landlord why he didn’t light up his dark hallway. The landlord replied “I had a light there for three years, no one fell, so I took it away.

Fruit Salad
Mix 1 can cherry pie filling and 1 can Eagle Brand Milk (sweetened, condensed). Add a can pineapple tidbits drained, 1 can Mandarin Oranges-drained, 1 cup small marshmallows and 1/2 cup chopped nuts. Add 1 medium size container Cool Whip. Mix well and refrigerate.
