One thing is for certain: the 1st place Caledonia girl's basketball squad is better than 2nd place Fillmore Central. The Falcons tried in vain to avenge a 30-point loss earlier in the season. They split the margin more than in half, but still fell 55-41. The Warriors dominated the glass 40 to 23. They dominated the foul situation, heading to the line 26 times (making 15) to FC's 10 (8 makes). Three Falcon starters fouled out. Amber Sorenson (19 points) won the battle of 1,000-point scorers with Connor Nagle (14 points). Sophomore Emme Lange aided the Warrior cause with 18. Alex Peterson was FC's second leading scorer with 12. The loss ends the Falcons 7-game streak. Caledonia has now won 12 in a row and all 16 of their conference games. They are on their way to a Three Rivers Conference championship.
