CEDA announces its officers of the board for 2011

Community and Economic Development Associates (CEDA), formerly known as the Southeastern Minnesota Development Corporation, a private non profit community and economic development agency, has announced its officers of the board for 2011.
F. Mike Tuohy has been elected to serve as the chair of the board. Mr. Tuohy, chair of Tuohy Furniture, has served on the CEDA Board of Directors since 2006. Mr. Tuohy replaces Brian Krambeer, CEO/president of Tri-County Electric Coop. Mr. Krambeer will continue on the board as past-chairman.
Jim Hoiness, co-owner with his son, Brad Hoiness, of Rushford, Harmony and Preston Foods, was elected vice-chair. Mike Jones, city administrator of Blooming Prairie, was re-elected treasurer. Cheri Kramer, chief administrative officer, Lake City Medical Center - Mayo Health System, was elected Secretary.
Art Raak, of Wolter & Raak, has retired from the CEDA Board after 15 years. Mr. Raak will continue as an advisory member to the board of directors. "It has been a pleasure to have Mr. Raak as a part of the board of directors," states CEO/President Ron Zeigler. "CEDA would not be where it is today without Art Raak. His expertise has been a valuable asset and we look forward to his expertise continuing as an advisory member. The board of directors and staff say a very heartfelt thank you to Art Raak for his dedication to this board and making our part of the country a better place to live, work, recreate and do business."
CEDA has a staff of 14 employees filling various roles throughout the 25 communities served. Having been in existence for 25 years, CEDA has successfully assisted cities and counties, businesses and entrepreneurs throughout the area with projects, comprehensive and strategic planning and other economic and development issues.
CEDA, which is headquartered in Chatfield, Minnesota, is also a satellite office of the Small Business Development Center and assists with financial packaging, marketing, business plan creation/updating and training in a confidential, one-on-one setting at no cost to the client.
CEDA is governed by a volunteer board of directors that consists of: Brian Krambeer - president/CEO, of Tri-County Electric; Bill Rohe - president, Rohe & Associates; Mike Jones - city administrator, City of Blooming Prairie; Dwayne Lee - director of business development, SBA 504 Corporation; Mark McGrory - senior vice president, Merchants Bank; Richard Bodensteiner - vice president, Manufacturing, Hearth & Home Technologies; Cheri Kramer - chief administrative officer, Lake City Medical Center-Mayo Health Systems; Mike Tuohy - chairman, Tuohy Furniture; Jim Hoiness - owner, Rushford, Preston and Harmony Foods; Larry Anderson - vice president, Rural Capital Network; and Gary Gooder - president, Alum-Line Inc.
