We believe that a veterinarian should examine all cats at least once a year. Cats age much faster than people, so getting an exam every year for them compares to getting a physical exam every seven years for us.
Cats are masters at hiding signs of illness, so often people don't notice that cats are sick until they are extremely ill. A cat's ability to hide disease makes it important for your cat to have an annual physical examination to detect hidden medical problems like heart disease, kidney disease, thyroid problems and high blood pressures. These diseases are all manageable if detected early, but they can be difficult to treat in the later stages of the disease. If your feline friend hasn't left the house in the past year, call our clinic today to schedule an appointment for a physical exam. You cat's continued good health depends on it.
