Fillmore County's remaining five gals' squads finished with an, as good as could be expected, 4-1 record in the quarterfinals of (sub)-section tournaments. In Section 1AA East, 3-seed Chatfield dispensed with highway 74 rival 6-seed St. Charles 71-55. Karen Sass continued her standout playing, scoring 21 and grabbing 11 boards. Junior guard Erin Kammer had a season high 16 points to go with 8 assists. Sarah Costello added 11. In Section 1AA West, 3-seed Kingsland held off 6-seed Zumbrota-Mazeppa 56-47. Molly Greiner scored 20 on 8 of 10 shooting. Cheyenne Losey added 13 and 6 rebounds. In Section 1A East, 2nd seeded Fillmore Central downed 7-seed Leroy-Ostrander handily 57-26. Connor Nagle notched her third consecutive 5-three-pointer game while tallying a game high 24. Alex Peterson added 14 and 5 steals. The Falcons will face 3-seed Rushford-Peterson, who handled Mabel-Canton 56-30. Four Trojans gals hit double-figures, Amy Todd (13), Emily Culhane (12), Laura Rislove (11), and Cody Manfull (11). M-C was led by Carly McCabe's 11. The Cougars finished the year 6-12 in the SEC, 8-17 overall.
