Do you have days when you wonder what and why you get up in the morning? Well I’ll tell you why I wonder.
The Joys of Aging

I have become quite a frivolous old gal. I’m seeing five gentlemen every day. As soon as I awake Will Power helps me out of bed. When he leaves I go see John. Then Charley Horse comes along and when he is here, he takes a lot of my attention. When he leaves, Arthur Ritis shows up and stays the rest of the day. He doesn’t like to stay in one place very long so he takes me from joint to joint. After such a busy day, I’m really tired and ready to go to bed with Ben Gay. What a day!

“Dear me,” said the lady to the superintendent of a mental institution. “What a vicious look that woman has we just passed in the corridor. Is she dangerous?” “Yes, at times,” replied the superintendent evasively.

“But why do you allow her such freedom?”

“Can’t help it.”

But isn’t she an inmate and under your control?

“No, she’s neither under my control, nor an inmate. She’s my wife!”

When Ole’s mother-in-law died, he and Lena were discussing what kind of tombstone to get for her. Said Ole “Well we should get vun dat is good and heavy.”

Just because everything is different, doesn’t mean anything has changed.

If you’re yearning for the good old days, just turn off the air-conditioning.

Remember the teakettle - though it’s up to its’ neck in hot water, it continues to sing.

The right temperature at home is maintained by warm hearts, not hot heads.

In a world that’s techno-hyped,
I’m lost beyond belief,
Explore the info highway?
I can’t find the clover leaf.
Of course, I’m aimed
for cyberspace,
but don’t think I’ll get far-
at least not till I figure how
to work my VCR!

To keep homemade cookies from becoming stale, put them in a big cookie jar and store them in a room full of kids.

Make your next meat load zesty and moist by adding cranberry sauce, 1/4 - 1/3 cup for each pound ground beef before baking.
