Jesse Ventura inherited a surplus when he was elected Governor. In 1998, voters were willing to gamble with that surplus and opted for excitement and entertainment in the governor's office. We've had four years of roller coaster fun and lost the surplus along the way. Now we're in a budget deficit.
This time we can't afford to gamble with our vote. Our economic survival is on the line. Gambling should be left to casinos and not the ballot booth.
A vote for Roger Moe is a vote for real leadership. With his experience and demonstrated ability, Minnesota's economy has the best chance of a speedy recovery.
I am not going to gamble with my vote - I am voting for a sure thing: Roger Moe for Minnesota's economic success.
