I am proud to say that AFSCME, the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, has endorsed Sharon Ropes for the Minnesota Senate. AFSCME is the largest labor union in the AFL-CIO, and in Minnesota represents state and local government workers, University of Minnesota staff, employees of local districts and educational institutions, and health care workers. Sharon values the services provided by public employees that makes life in Minnesota second to none, and will work hard to make sure that our state retains and enhances its reputation for an efficient, high-quality public workforce. Both of her parents were union members, so she was raised, fed and educated on union dollars. She understands the value of hard work, fair rules and looking out for working families. Her top priorities are Education and health care, currently the very issues that are most important to everyone in Minnesota. Sharon is running for Senate in District 31, which includes Fillmore, Houston and Winona counties. I hope you will join me by casting your vote for Sharon Ropes on November 5th.
