The Rushford-Peterson Trojans opened their baseball season playing host to Caledonia-Spring Grove. Pitching took center stage. R-P senior Blake Erickson struck out 12 batters, walked two, and surrendered four hits and (with three R-P errors) five runs, enroute to a complete game. His solid performance was only overshadowed by C-SG senior Ivan Augedahl's 10-strikeout, 2-walk, 1-hit complete game shutout victory. Ben Krambeer was the sole Trojan to solve the Augedahl pitching puzzle, notching a 4th inning double. Tony Frank provided C-SG's offense, smacking a 2-run homer in the 4th. It was more than enough to lead his team to a 5-0 victory in the opener for both clubs.
