Olstad's single completes Falcon comeback

In all sports, there is nothing like a good comeback (the bigger the better). A 5-1 deficit entering the bottom of the sixth in high school baseball is sizeable. That's what the Fillmore Central Falcons had to overcome against PEM. Dan Gatzke got the momentum ball rolling, spanking a double. Zach Olstad followed suit, driving Gatzke in with a single. Jordan Ristau then singled, putting two aboard. PEM then helped the home squad out, walking a batter, hitting another, which scored a run, and then letting a third strike become a past ball, which scored another. Heading to the 7th FC had pulled to within one at 5-4. PEM did nothing in the top half, FC got singles from Colton Hampel and Darren Hill to start another rally in the bottom. Each moved up a base with another past ball. A Dan Gatzke center field drive found grass, plating Hampel, tying the game. Zach Olstad then came to the plate, got his third hit, and second RBI, a game-winning one that scored Darren Hill from third, completing the five-run two-inning turnabout. Six-to-five was the final. Hampel got his second win in as many tries (whilst going 3-4). Jordan Ristau also had three hits and an RBI. The Falcons are 2-0.
