"Rock Around the Clock," "Johnny Be Good," "Jailhouse Rock" and "Pretty Woman" are just a few of the rock n roll favorites the Solid Gold band has cued up and ready for you at Whalan's 16th annual Standstill Parade on Saturday, May 21.

Solid Gold is a four-piece Twin Cities band playing 50-60's music (and a little country, polka and old time) for all to enjoy.

Members: Paul Musikov (bass, keys) was on the road with Prince on his early tours, as well as with Rick James. He has run sound for the best in the business and has traveled the world working with the Children's Theatre.

Terry McKinley (drums) started his musical career on the drums with The Country Boys at an early age and hasn't stopped since. He has displayed his expertise across musical styles with a number of Twin Cities bands and theatre groups.

Ron Johnson (keys, sax) was, along with Sandy Silfverston, one of the founding members of the Solid Gold band. His versatility, both vocally and instrumentally, is unmatched, as is his mastery of a great variety of musical styles and influences.

Wayne Liebhard (guitar) considers himself fortunate to be surrounded by such talent. He has played shows with a number of rock bands since age thirteen and is a rock music composer, as well as a national award-winning author.

Solid Gold will be performing on the stage at the Whalan Standstill from 1-3 p.m. and will then move to Mike's Back Porch for another round of fun and lively music.

Come enjoy this great band and other activities at the Whalan Standstill Parade. Parade time is 11 a.m. Mark the date Saturday, May 21, on your calendar.
