It's like a Friday lunchtime ritual at the Fillmore County Journal after the newspaper goes to press. All of our employees trickle up to The Sweet Stop & Sandwich Shoppe and relax with a sandwich, soup and some dessert.
Having Joanne Szuch's business in town fills an important role in Preston. With all of the restaurants in Preston, we have a variety of options which encourages us to bounce around and enjoy something different every day.
And, what's really nice about The Sweet Stop & Sandwich Shoppe is that they have wireless internet access. Many times while stopping into Joanne's restaurant, I have seen a businessperson with a laptop in front of them at their table. Whether for people who need to conduct business, or simply for socializing, Joanne's business attracts an eclectic crowd.
She obviously sells a great product with outstanding service, because I have been there during the lunch hour when the line is forming. Fortunately, she has an experienced customer-driven staff that makes sure people don't have to wait too long.
If you are looking for a fresh, healthy and delicious alternative, The Sweet Stop & Sandwich Shoppe is a fantastic place with eat, surf and chat. You can also visit their website at www.sweetstop.net, where Joanne shares her menu and even some information about her famous cakes. Yes, on top of running a great restaurant, Joanne could probably hold the title of "Cake Boss" for Fillmore County. She actually has a photo gallery with 140 photos of her tasty creations.
