Summary of MinutesMarch 8, 2005 County Board MeetingThe Fillmore County Board met in special session in the Commissioners’ Board Room in the Fillmore County Courthouse in the City of Preston. All members were present. Also present were the Coordinator/Clerk, Auditor, other department heads and staff, citizens, and two members of the press.

The following resolutions were adopted by the Board:RESOLUTION 2005-025:Request Solid Waste Management Plan extension for 5 yearsRESOLUTION 2005-026:Agreement with the State of Minnesota for County provided servicesRESOLUTION 2005-027:Final payment to Minnowa Construction, Inc. for $10,694.03, for Project 23-599-174, Carrolton Twp.RESOLUTION:Close meeting, MN Open Meeting Law, M.S. Section 13D.05, subd. 2(b) and 3(b) RESOLUTION:Approving agreement and resignation of Employee #593 to be effective 4:00 p.m. on 3/8/2005 (Agreement on file in Coordinator’s Office)

The Board approved the following agenda items:•the amended agenda.•remove Items 2 and 3 from Consent agenda.•the following amended Consent Agenda:1.March 1, 2005 County Board minutes.4.Payment of $13,253.35 to All State Communications, Inc. for low voltage cabling for courthouse.5.Carry over of $19,186.77of SCORE grant dollars from 2004 to 2005. 6.Reinvest $500,000.00 of Road & Bridge funds.•95% of invoice from Dascom, or $39,261.60, for Boardroom technology.•payment of $1,451.13 to WSB & Associates for engineering services for construction of Fillmore County Airport taxiway.•access permit for Chosen Valley Care Center, Chatfield, Minnesota, to CSAH #5 for parking for an addition to the care center.•remove bill from Phone Station for $3,317.61 from warrant list.•accept proposal from Halver, Inc. for $785.00 to correct Law Library shelving.•partial payment (85%) of $126,709.23 to Beckley’s for courthouse furniture.•accepted proposal from Morem Electric for $300.00 for labor and materials to install a electrical raceway in the Auditor/Treasurer’s office.•full time status for Karla Wangen, Accounting Technician, effective Friday, March 11, 2005.•make final payment of $7,261.00 to State of Minnesota for soil survey.•stainless steel formed angles at $190.00 from K&K Fabrication to protect downstairs hall corners in courthouse.•proceed with replacement of carpet in downstairs hall of courthouse.•proceed with replacement of carpet in Attorney’s hallway in courthouse.•authorize signature of State of Minnesota agreement by Chair and Highway Engineer.•request by Todd Kokinos, Transfer Station Attendant, to transfer to Maintenance Specialist vacancy at union scale.•advertise in-house for a replacement Transfer Station Attendant at union scale. If still vacant after in-house posting, the position will be publicly advertised.
