Fountain, MN - May 20, 2011 Junk {re}defined by the Pfarkel Sisters will celebrate their new location in June when they host the 3rd annual Vintage Treasures Market, June 17 and 18 at that location. Over fifteen other vendor/artisans will be joining them and they are coming from the tri-state area, as well as, Nebraska.
Junk {re}defined is operated by three sisters (Sharon Vreeman, Fountain/St. Charles, Dianne Perry, Elba and Janell Kraut, Spring Valley) who recycle, repurpose and redesign items into new uses for resale. After working from our St. Charles location for several years, they have recently purchased property near Fountain which is located at 29452 County Rd. 11, and will be opening the business there this spring/summer where they will offer occasional sales. This location will give them and the other vendor/artisans more room to showcase their wares.
Although, they do a couple of events alone, their biggest event will be the Vintage Treasures Market that will be held Friday, June 17, 9 - 6 and Saturday, June 18, 9 - 4. This year on Friday there is the addition of a wine tasting by Whitewater Wines of Plainview from 5 - 7pm.
If some of you have shopped their market before you will see some familiar faces and the addition of new vendor/artisans. From this area some of you will know the 'Queens of Chic' of Spring Valley, MN and 'Just Precious Vintage' of Decorah, IA both of these vendors sell some of their wares at Generations Antiques Mall in Harmony, MN. 'Jazzy Junque' of Stewartville, 'Junk Devotion' of Pine Island and 'KBB Creative Creations' of Chatfield will usually be seen at some of the Rochester and area Flea Markets. 'Country Rockers' and "Hahler Antiques' both of Plainview have been vendors for years at the Oronoco Gold Rush Days in Oronoco, MN. 'Emma's Nook and Granny' of St. Charles has done other shows and formally had store front in St. Charles. 'Donna's Daughters' of Coon Valley, WI, 'Portia/katze Designs' of Mound, MN, '210th Street Designs' of Greenfield, IA, 'Junk revised' of Cedar Falls, IA and Dorothy Waltz of Ainsworth, NE round out the list at this time. Junk {re}defined and many of the other vendor/artisans are vendors at JunkMarket Style at Long Lake, MN and Junk Bonanza at Shakopee, MN.
