Rushford was the site of the Bulldog-Trojan baseball double-header match-up. Caleb Leichtnam began Game 1 (inning 1) by being what he's been all season long (to opponents) on the base-paths: a pest. He reached on an error, stole second, and then went second-to-home on a sac bunt for the game's first run. A Sam Eberle double and Marshall Oeltjen single in the 3rd produced another run. A Kirk Nelson RBI single in the 5th made the game 3-0, or enough for a Bulldog victory. The final was 4 to 2. Eberle finished 3-4, Oeltjen 2-4. Trenton Bleifus got the win, giving up 2 runs on 6 hits with 6 strikeouts over 6 innings. Lucas Gravos drove in both Trojan runs. In Game 2, inning 3 proved to be the most critical. GMLOK plated 5 runs (taking a 5-0 lead). The Trojans never recovered. The Bulldogs prevailed 7-2. Leichtnam went 3-4 with an RBI. With 7 SB's in the double-header, he now has 35 on the season. Eberle (2 RBI's), Oeltjen, and Alan McCaulley (RBI) each collected two hits. Trevor Gomer got the win, going 6 1/3 innings (2 runs, 5 hits). For R-P, Jared Brown was 1-3 with an RBI.
