They battled each other more than once during the regular. They didn't have to battle each other at the end of it. The Fillmore Central and Lanesboro's boy's golf squads each notched victories in their respective conference meets. For FC, they had more competition. The Falcons out-shot (320) nine Three Rivers foes at the par 71 Jewel Golf Course in Lake City. Wabasha-Kellogg finished second (325). Poetically, two Falcons stood atop the leaderboard, Matt Guttormson (74) and Drew Bahl (76). Kingsland's Trent Harder finished tied for 6th (82). The Knights finished 3rd as a team (340). Other notable county finishers were Andy Todd-FC (84, 14th place), Nate Vorwerk-King (85, 15th), Peter Rislove-FC (86, tied 16th), Nick Bly-King (86, tied 16th), and Justin Boyum-RP (87, tied 20th). The Trojan team finished 7th (357). For the Burros, there was less competition (four other schools) for the SEC crown. They out shot their nearest foe Houston 327 to 354. Braden Hanson claimed top billing with a 76 (at the par 72 Cedar River CC). Teammate Lucas Johnson took runner-up (79). Fellow Burros Cory Strom (83, 4th) and Liam Dorn (89, tied 5th) made the top five almost exclusively black and orange. Keeping pace with their male brethren, the Lanesboro girls won an SEC crown too (though against only two other full teams). Burro gal golfers went one (Johanna Bearson, 88), two (Paige Hungerholt, 93), and three-four (Bryn Harmon/Kiah Halvorson, 98's). They won the team meet by nearly 100 strokes (377 to Lyle/Pacelli's 472).
