Preston's annual Progressive Ecumenical Dinner will be held Monday, June 27, 2011. This event, meant for one and all (ladies and gentlemen alike), is sponsored by the Preston churches. The evening begins with appetizers at 6:00 p.m. at St. Columban's Catholic Church. The main course will be served at 6:45 p.m. at the United Methodist Church. The evening will conclude with dessert and entertainment at 7:30 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church.
The speaker for the evening is Al Batt from Heartland, Minnesota who writes an article for the "Reader" newspaper each week. He's a writer, speaker, storyteller, and humorist. He comes recommended by men and women alike.
The dinner is free-will donation with the proceeds going to the Fillmore County Food Shelf. Join us at one of the churches. Come enjoy the food and the program.
