Ban the bug with H1N1 and seasonal flu immunizations

Fillmore County Public Health (FCPH) will be offering joint H1N1 and seasonal influenza immunization clinics in an effort to ban the flu bug. It is not too late to receive either H1N1 or seasonal influenza immunizations because flu season often runs until May!
Joint H1N1 and seasonal influenza immunizations will be offered to anyone over the age of six months. H1N1 and seasonal flu immunization clinics will be held at the Fillmore County Office Building, Room 108 located at 902 Houston Street NW in Preston on Wednesday, January 27, 2010, from 1 PM to 7 PM and on Wednesday, February 10, 2010, from 9 AM to 12 PM. Please remember that children under age 10 need two doses of H1N1in order to be effective. Children under age 9 need two doses of seasonal influenza in order to be effective. The second doses for either H1N1 or seasonal influenza must given at least 28 days apart from first dose.
H1N1 immunizations are FREE. The cost of the seasonal flu immunization is $25.00 each. Adults with Medicare Part B or children under age eighteen on MnCare or Medical Assistance can receive the seasonal flu shot free of charge if they have their insurance cards with them.
