Desperately seeking new leaders

Soft spoken, sometimes shy Sagittarius, a compassionate Midwestern middle-aged white male with brown hair and blue eyes, reasonably tall 6’ 1”, 180 pounds (okay 190) country boy with city sophistication, a professional family man who likes travel and embraces truth, liberty, and social justice seeks new leader for 230 year old democracy.

Must be hard working, honest and fair; race, gender, faith and sexual preference irrelevant. Coming out of five year relationship and prefer not having a Southern rich white male again; if a male, must be a real male, not afraid to eat quiché, speak the truth and admit when they have fallen short on character. And if a white male again, preferably one not born with a silver spoon in his mouth who has never learned about being responsible or that honesty is the greatest virtue.

Successful candidate will be intelligent, fair minded, without a history of fear mongering, comfortable enough with their own abilities to surround themselves with diverse people and thought, believing that loyalty is not the most important of attributes. Political party preference irrelevant (although ideally would be neither Republican nor Democrat). Must respect people’s privacy and never send troops into war unless their own offspring and spouse are on the front lines.

New leader should have respect for all citizens and not cater to top 10 percent of the wealthiest; should be able to respond to emergencies in a time of great need with competence and skill. Should be wary of trying to gut social programs for the poor and elderly under the guise of compassion.

Also seeking replacement for representative to Congress after 12 year relationship, must have the political cajones to stand up to incompetent leadership and protect public from the ideological excesses of present regime.

Prefer independent minded candidate willing to stand on their own two feet rather than follow party leadership blindly in sheep-like fashion. Must be willing to protect Congressional war powers at all costs or be willing to send offspring and spouse into war when incompetent leader exceeds powers. Above all, should not pander to party and Congressional leaders and be willing to protect the balance of powers when the country is in crisis, as it is now
