The Cougar boys fell to Spring Grove 55-41. The game was close until a quick, second-half Lion-spurt pushed the lead into double-digits, where it remained. M-C's Steve Smith led all scorers with 20. Dalton Stoen added 10. The Cougars then fell to Leroy-Ostrander 74-68. Smith (26) and Stoen (15) again shined, but L-O's Kirk Nelson (28) and Mark Miller (19) were a smidgeon better. The boys' record sits at 0-2 (overall and in league).
The M-C girls only played one game, defeating Leroy-Ostrander 54-42. Their record improves to 1-1.
