A match-up between GMLOK and Southland in baseball was highlighted by one thing in the early going: walks. In the first four innings, Bulldog pitching gave nine Rebel batters a free pass. Six scored. Resultantly, the home team found itself looking up at a 9-0 disadvantage as they came to bat in the bottom of the fourth. GMLOK would tighten the margin. They scored two in the fourth, another in the sixth, and then three in the seventh, making the score 12-6. That's how it ended. Perry Stejskal had one hit, but three RBIs for GMLOK. Caleb Leichtnam had a hit, a walk, scored and drove in runs, and stole three bases. Sam Eberle scored twice. Trenton Bleifus, Marshall Oeltjen, and Alan McCaulley collected the remainder of the Bulldogs' hits. The Rebel triad of Tyler Kressin, Logan Vlasity, and Adam Keifer collectively went 6-11 with eight RBIs. Alan May pitched four innings of three-hit, two-run, six-strikeout baseball. He added a triple hitting.
