Lanesboro Local makes it easy to buy and sell local goods
Lanesboro Local is a new non-profit local food initiative whose mission is to connect local growers and producers with consumers and businesses that value the special qualities of locally made goods. Connecting buyers and sellers will be done through a website at www.lanesborolocal.org.

Any producer of local products in Southeastern Minnesota, Northeastern Iowa, or Southwestern Wisconsin, is invited to an informational seller sign-up meeting. This meeting will kick off at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 28 at the Cottage House Inn, 209 Parkway Ave. N. in Lanesboro, Minn.

The Lanesboro Local website will list local growers of fresh, prepared and preserved foods, plus artisans who make locally crafted goods, as well as area restaurants, bed and breakfasts, grocery stores and other business that serve or sell local products.

Sellers of beef, pork, chicken, eggs, vegetables, flowers, honey, preserves, baked goods or anything else locally produced, are invited to the meeting. Sellers of arts or crafts are invited to the meeting. Restaurants, bed and breakfasts, or other businesses that serve local products, are invited to the meeting. For a $20 annual fee, you can have your own web presence on www.lanesborolocal.org.

Connecting buyers and sellers of local products will help strengthen our local economy. The meeting on Saturday, March 28, will show you how it works. Live local and live well.
