The Grandall Recital May 10 at 7 p.m. will include a variety of vocal and piano numbers of students kindergarten through high school. The recital will be in the sanctuary of St. Johns Lutheran Church, where the public is welcome.

The four youth that were confirmed on Sunday, May 1 at St. Johns Lutheran Church were Raegan Eickhoff, daughter of Dan and Tammy Eickhoff; Kileigh Howard, daughter of Scott and Kristina Howard; Ashley Kramer, daughter of Ross Kramer; and Nicholas Ramaker, son of Matt and Joleen Ramaker. Everyone was invited for cake and fellowship following the service.

The Maple Springs Campground fishermen from Chanhassen, LeRoy, and Austin have had good luck fishing trout even in the rain. A Pennsylvania family has made reservations at the Maple Springs campground in the month of June.

Reverend Michael Hopper of the Fillmore Free Methodist Church drove to Janesville, Wisc., where on Saturday he led a conference meeting, the Board of Ministry, interviewing several individuals to be ordained.

On Friday, Wendy Grabau and her mother drove to Cambridge to meet her sister and then they drove on to Ashland, Wisc., where they will have a family gathering at her brother’s place. Deena Hall and Max of Balsam Lake are with Randy and Bretta for a few days.

Beatrice Eickhoff, with others, attended the 90th birthday on Sunday for Bernice Drury at the Spring Valley Care Center. Mr. and Mrs. Doug Flaby of Spring Valley have purchased the beautiful former home of Don and Lila Eickhoff on Centennial Street E. Doug works in Spring Valley and Cherie has worked in Preston for 30 years. Welcome to Wykoff, Doug and Cherie.

Rev. Harman and family, because of a squatter at their front entrance, are using south entry during these windy chilly days. It is a robin with a nest and three eggs in the wreath.

On Saturday, Donna Erdman was invited for beef stew dinner with Pat Cap and Kathleen Mulhern.

There will be a rummage and bake sale on Saturday, May 7 at St. Johns Church basement from 9-3 p.m. Items can be donated until Thursday noon. (no TVs)

On Tuesday, Joan & Lynn Kidd, along with many other Wykoff and local people attended a refresher course sponsored by AARP held at the Wykoff intermediate school. This is a four hour course for those 55 and older to talk about driving in later years. The course instructor was .....
