Kingsland School Age Child Care (SACC)

Kingsland School Age Child Care (SACC) is the childcare program located on site in the elementary school in Spring Valley. This program serves students preschool through 5th grade 5:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The cost of the program is $2.75 an hour and we offer a drop-in service so you are only billed the hours your child is here. SACC is a great choice for many families because of its affordability and the services it provides. Kingsland SACC is a great option for families who have work schedules that do not allow them to transport their children to programs they want to participate in. During the school year this includes childcare during the day for children enrolled in preschool and after school care for students in Community Ed classes or other school activities like Tippi Toes. Children using the preschool program are escorted to and from preschool and families are not charged while their children are in preschool. We have openings for students preK-5th grade available. Please contact Angela Solberg, SACC Coordinator at Solberg.angela@kingsland.k12.mn.us with questions.

Kingsland Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE)

ECFE is a program offered through the Minnesota Department of Education in public school districts across the state. ECFE is for families with children ages 0-5, not yet enrolled in Kindergarten and provides an opportunity to meet other parents in the community, explore developmentally appropriate activities with your child, and learn about and discuss various topics of parenting. If you are planning on sending your child to Kingsland Preschool, ECFE is also a great way to introduce your child to the preschool classroom as ECFE classes are held there as well. Currently weekly ECFE classes are offered on Tuesdays from 4:45-6:15 p.m. and 6:30-8 p.m. at Kingsland Elementary. Classes include together time with your child in the preK room, separation time for parent discussion, and circle time to close. While parents are in topic discussions, children continue to play and explore with preschool teacher Kelly Simon and support staff in the preschool room. For more information you may check us out online at www.kingsland.k12.mn.us under Community Ed, Early Learning Programs, ECFE or by emailing coordinator Ann Priebe at [Read the Rest]
