Spin Fishing for Trout Workshop at the National Trout Center

Join us on Saturday, June 15 at the National Trout Center, Preston, Minn. from 10am – noon for a spin fishing instruction workshop with Jeff Broberg. Broberg is the current President of the Minnesota Trout Association, a National Trout Center Board member, geologist and Vice President at McGhie & Betts Environmental Services in Rochester, Minn. Broberg is also the creative developer of the 9-Hole Fishing Course in Preston. The course is sure to be featured during Jeff’s spin fishing program if weather and water conditions allow class participants to practice on the stream.

During the workshop you will learn about spin fishing equipment and develop or perfect your own spin fishing techniques specific to angling for trout. Please bring your own spin fishing equipment for use during the class. Beginners to advanced anglers are welcome to participate in this program event.

Also sign up to attend a workshop on June 22, when the Federation of Fly Fishers organization from the Twin Cities will offer a free “Fly Fishing Workshop.” Experienced certified instructors will teach fly casting, fly tying, and fly fishing techniques.
