Chong Ok Paulsen, formerly of Rochester, MN and Ostrander, MN died Friday, March 1, 2013 at her home in Tucson, Arizona.
Ok was born in Korea and came to Minnesota after she and Kenneth Paulsen were married on December 30, 1965. Ok worked at the Ostrander Care Center and Spring Valley Care Center for many years until moving to Rochester. After Ken’s retirement from IBM, they sold their home in Rochester and traveled in their 5th wheel motor home. Winters were spent in Tucson, Arizona and the warmer weather months in Rochester and her favorite place of Grand Marais, MN. Ok enjoyed many kinds of crafting and knitting and made many beautiful items for her family to enjoy over the years.
Ok is survived by her husband, Ken of Tucson, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Carol (Marvin) Lenz, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sue (Tom) Fowler of Spring Valley, sister-in-law, Lydell (Brett) Reinardy of Hampton, MN and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Hans and Alice Paulsen of Ostrander, brother-in-laws, Earl Paulsen of Ostrander and Paul Paulsen of Tucson, AZ.
No formal services are scheduled at this time. As was her wish, her ashes will be scattered near Grand Marais.
