Journal Writing Project: It is the giving season

Have you done your good deed for the day? If not, you can stop by the Mabel-Canton High School Gym and pick out an ornament off the Christmas in Fillmore County tree! The ornaments have pictures on them of gifts that are needed. Once you have an ornament picked out, go buy it! You don’t even need to spend time wrapping it up! Just deliver it back to the Mabel-Canton High School at the main office by 3 p.m. on December 12! Your donation will stay right there, helping the families in Fillmore County! All proceeds stay with the families in Fillmore County.

The Mabel-Canton National Honor Society is putting on Christmas in Fillmore County for the families who might not otherwise be able to exchange gifts during Christmas time. It will be up until December 12, 2014. At 3 p.m. that day the National Honor Society students will be delivering it to where it needs to go. Your contribution is appreciated.

This is one of the projects that the Mabel-Canton National Honor Society is doing this year. Along with the Christmas in Fillmore County, they are doing Meals-On-Wheels and Cellphones for Soilders. The Mabel-Canton National Honor Society starts Meals-On-Wheels Monday, December 8, 2014.

Gabrielle Sand is a student at Mabel-Canton High School. She is one of five area students participating in the Journal Writing Project, now in its sixteenth year.
