Lanesboro Gun Club hosts second annual Youth Fun Shoot

Stillwater Jim (aka Jim Martin), a member of the Cedar Valley Vigilantes, will give a demonstration of single-action cowboy shooting. Cowboy Action Shooting is a multifaceted amateur shooting sport in which the contestants compete with firearms typical of those used in the taming of the Old West, like single action revolvers and lever action rifles. The Single Action Shooting Society members agree to live the “cowboy way.” Think of Gene Autry, Roy Rogers, Lash LaRue and John Wayne. All members must have a “handle”, so plan to attend the Fun Shoot and bring your handle.
