Posted in Harmony Health & Wellness

The blood drive held in Harmony on July 16, 2013, succeeded in collecting 37 units of blood. This number was achieved by several donors giving two units, as there were only 34 donors who presented, and two first-time participants. Congratulations to these eight donors who reached the following milestones:

• Pete Bissen – 6 gallons

• Donovan Brink – 8 gallons

• Veda Elston – 3 gallons

• Mary Ann Johnson – 3 gallons

• Sylvia Leitzen – 3 gallons

• Monica Ortner – 3 gallons

• Jerry Shuck – 4 gallons

• Emery C. Stutzman – 4 gallons

The bloodmobile is sponsored by the Harmony American Legion Auxiliary, and many of the volunteers are Auxiliary members. However, numerous volunteers from the community also help make our blood drives successful. Thank you to everyone for your continued support in this worthwhile effort.

The next bloodmobile will be in Harmony on Tuesday, September 24, 2013. If you’d like to schedule an appointment, please call Marilyn Bratager at 507-937-3406 or schedule one online at http://www.redcrossblood.org/
