The third annual March Meltdown Winter Carnival for Habitat for Humanity is just around the corner!

Make plans to come to Wheeler’s Bar and Grill in Harmony on Saturday, March 1 for the March Meltdown festivities. New this year everything begins at 4 p.m. and FREE carnival games for the kids and those who are young at heart. ECFE will be helping with the carnival games. Games planned are plinko, bowling, ball toss games, and going fishing, so bring the kids out for some family fun entertainment and support Habitat for Humanity.

There will be a single elimination bean bag tournament. The entry fee is $20 per team. You could come out a winner! Firstplace is a $100 Visa© Gift Card, second place is a $50 Visa© Gift Card donated by First Southeast Bank in Harmony, and third place is a Large Pizza from Village Square in Harmony and four tickets to the Jem Theater. Many challenges are planned for other door prizes as well.

The Soup and Dessert Cook Off begins at 4 p.m. with your free will donation taste the soups and desserts submitted by local chefs. If you would like to enter your soup or dessert, please call Megan (507-459-4199) by February 28. Prizes for the best chilies and desserts are first place- $100 Visa© Gift Card, second place - $50 Visa© Gift Card donated by First Southeast Bank in Harmony, and third place is a Large Pizza from Village Square in Harmony and four tickets to the Jem Theater.

A silent auction will be going on throughout the afternoon and evening with some great donations collected.

The ever so popular Meat Raffle will begin at 4 p.m. with a winner pulled every 15 minutes. Come and purchase raffle tickets and win great meat packages from Oak Meadow Meats. Tickets are $2, $3, and $5 for different meat packages. Come with some cash and be prepared to try to win some fine meat!

So put March 1 on your calendar and we will see you at Wheeler’s to support Habitat for Humanity.
