Hunter Wayne Bergo

Posted in Chatfield Obituaries

Hunter Wayne Bergo, 10, of Chatfield, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016 in a ATV accident near his home.

Hunter was born November 30, 2005 in Brainerd, Minnesota to Ryker Bergo and Cheryl Klein.

Hunter was in the fourth grade class at Lanesboro Elementary School. There isn’t enough time or space to describe just how wonderful and amazing Hunter was and anyone who has ever met him can attest to that. Hunter was our angel on earth. He was loving, kind, considerate, sensitive, funny, brilliant, creative and he cared about everyone. He always made sure everyone felt happy and welcome no matter where he was or who he was around. He loved helping out at home and was the best big brother in the world, even if that meant changing a diaper or brushing his brothers teeth. He was very active and loved to hunt, fish, play basketball, ride his dirt bike, play with his dog Ginger and wrestle. He always loved to joke around with his friends and family.

His infectious joy and smile lit up every person around him. He was the definition of joy and innocence. Hunter has taught us more in his short ten years about the true meaning of selfless love than most could in twenty lifetimes. Heaven will forever be brighter because of our angel.

Hunter is lovingly remembered by his parents Ryker and Lena Bergo, of Pilot Mound and Cheryl and Matt Zeller, of Kenyon. Brothers Zeke Bergo and Quadyn Kettner. Step siblings Haley Zeller, Makayla Zeller and Megan Zeller. Paternal grandparents: Doreen Bergo, of Wykoff and Wayne Bergo of Lanesboro. Maternal grandparents: Kaye and Bridg Moreland of Polk City, Iowa, Brad and Antge Klein of Salt Lake City, Utah, Ann and Leigh Grobarchik of West Allis, Wisconsin.

A Funeral Service will be held for Hunter at 11:00 AM Friday, April 1st at the Lanesboro High School with Pastor Aaron Wagner of Bear Creek Christian Church officiating.

Visitation will take place 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 31st at Lanesboro High School Lanesboro and one hour prior to the funeral service on Friday. A Committal Service will follow at Pilot Mound Lutheran Cemetery in Rural Chatfield.

Johnson-Riley Funeral Home in Lanesboro is assisting the family with arrangements. To share condolences with the family, please visit
