In sectional wrestling tournaments, LARP (Class A) headlined the county's schools sending three wrestlers to state. Junior Justin Doerr (119), freshman Jordan Theede (130), and senior heavyweight Alex Hoff all won their respective Class A individual tournaments. Chatfield seniors Zach Curry (140) and Juan Gomez (189) took second, allowing each to qualify in Class A also. Other high finishers included Alex Haffner (Chatfield), 3rd at 112, Chris Boemke (LARP), 4th at 140, Greg Johnson (LARP), 4th at 171, Cody Wrubel (Chatfield), 3rd at 215, and Justin Puetz (LARP), 4th at 215. In Class AA, neither GMLOK nor FCLMC could get a state entrant (top two finisher). GMLOK's Noah Schlee (130) and Lucas Roe (152) came the closest, finishing 3rd in the AA section tournament. Carter Brandt (GMLOK) took 4th at 215. FCLMC had two 5th place finishers, Tom Henry (140) and Niko Anderson (152).
