Live Snakes of the Blufflands

7:00 PM Saturday, June 15

Houston Nature Center

Sixteen of Minnesota’s seventeen kinds of snakes, including the timber rattlesnake, live in the Blufflands. Join Sara Grover of Whitewater State Park to learn how we can live, work and recreate in the Blufflands and still conserve these awesome creatures. Find out how rattlesnake/people encounters can be reduced while at the same time keeping this fascinating snake from disappearing. See a live fox snake, black rat snake and a timber rattlesnake. Bring your cameras!

This program is open to the public, and donations are encouraged. The Houston Nature Center is located one block north of the intersection of Highways 16 and 76 in Houston in Trailhead Park. Contact the Nature Center for more information at nature@acegroup.cc or 507-896-4668.
