Lucille Marlus Kiehne

Lucille Marlus Kiehne, 93, of Harmony died September 22, 2003 at the Harmony Healthcare Center.

Lucille was born May 12, 1910, in Amherst Township to Albert Gordon and Almeda Turner. She married Gustav Kiehne on November 30, 1933 at her family home in rural Lanesboro. They lived and worked together on their farm until 1967 when they moved to Harmony. She was a life long member of Scotland-Richland Prairie church serving as a Sunday school teacher and the churchs first woman ordained elder. She was a member of Presbyterian Women, Harmony Hospital Auxiliary Unit and the

Birthday Club. She worked in the Harmony Hospital kitchen and laundry for eight years.

Survivors include her husband of almost seventy years: a son Merle (Delores) Kiehne of Preston, two daughters Marlys (Milton) Livingood of Rochester and Marcia (Ronald) Ramlo of Pekin, Il, eight grandchildren and nineteen great-grand children. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Earl, Kenneth and Ronald and sisters Carmen Turner and Verna Wead.

Funeral services were held on September 26, 2003 at the Canton-Scotland Presbyterian Church in Canton. Burial was in the Scotland Cemetery in rural Canton. Lindstrom Funeral Home in Harmony, was in charge of arrangements.

Ruth E. Egge, 86, of Chatfield, a homemaker, died September 18, 2003 at Chosen Valley Care Center in Chatfield. She lived at Sunrise Cottages assisted living in Rochester for a year before entering the care center two weeks ago.
