Sikkink - Thomas Fay "Tom"

Thomas Fay Sikkink, 73, of LeRoy, died April 10, 2004 at his daughter's home in Elk River, Minn.

Born June 10, 1930, he attended Stone School near Cherry Grove in rural Fillmore County, graduated from high school in Ridgeway, Iowa, and served in the Army for two years in the early 1950s. On July 1, 1955, he married Eleanor Johnson of LeRoy at Zumbro Lutheran Church in Rochester. Mr. Sikkink worked for the U.S. Postal Service in LeRoy and Rochester for more than 30 years and retired in the late 1980s. He was a member of the American Legion and Rochester Eagles Club.

Survivors include a daughter, Rebecca (Doug) Le Tourneau of Elk River; a son, John Thomas (Candy) of Rochester; a stepson, Douglas (Linda) Robinson of rural Lake City; three granddaughters; three brothers, Robert of Austin, Nathan (Mary) of Rochester and Lance (Dianne) of Spring Valley; and a sister, Carla Barr of Eagan, Minn. He was preceded in death by his wife and two brothers.

The funeral for Thomas Fay "Tom" Sikkink was April 15, 2004 at the LeRoy Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Thomas Kolden officiating. Burial was in LeRoy Lutheran Cemetery. Hindt Funeral Home in LeRoy was in charge of arrangements.
