To the Editor,
It’s disturbing to hear that the rich must have low tax rates while old folks must sacrifice part of their earned benefits. Wealthy lobbying groups, our corporate owned media, and our corporate controlled politicians tell us we mus

To the Editor,
I am responding to Col. Stan Gudmundson’s recent “letter to the editor,” entitled “Letter about liberal brilliance,” which is in fact not a letter at all, but a most sarcastic form of writerly dishonesty and reader entrapment.
I would like to propose that the Fillmore County Journal consider creating, adopting and enforcing a “Letters to the Editor” policy, so that things that are not actually “Letters to the Editor” will not be published as such.
Three sentences of his own “thoughts” at the end of a laundry list of possibly unverified quotes does not a letter make. Sorry, Colonel.

To the Editor,
Here are a few gems highlighting liberal brilliance.
“We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it.” -Nancy Pelosi
“I’ve now been in 57 states? I think one left to go?” -Barack Obama

To the Editor,
Oh dear! I just waded through Col. Stan Gudmundson’s commentary, “Over the cliff.” I’m afraid the recent election of Barack Obama has pushed the good colonel over the cliff. Stan my man, you have to get over it! It’s eating

To the Editor,
This is Preposterous!
Tell me how you can live in a house without constantly repairing and upgrading it. When you need a new roof, are you going to go buy a new house? When you need new floors, are you going to go buy a new house?
