Pro-Corn - Letter to the Editor

Letter from Pro-Corn

As directors of Pro-Corn LLC ethanol plant, we are troubled that incorrect and inappropriate allegations by Andrew Bunge, owner of Bunge Construction, were read at a Preston City Council meeting.

Mr. Bunges insinuation that, on December 8, Council Member Jerry Scheevel instigated Pro-Corn action against Mr. Bunge because of political law signs is simply wrong. Mr. Scheevel met with the Pro-Corn chairman to discuss how an E-85 service station could be obtained for Preston. Such a station would help both Preston ad Pro-Corn.

We believe Mr. Bunge is trying to use his business issue with Pro-Corn for political purposes in connection with the upcoming Preston election. The Pro-Corn Board of Directors feels that Pro-Corn, through Richard Eichstadt, has dealt properly with Bunge Construction. We are very fortunate to have someone with Mr. Eichstadts business experience, skill and dedication as our General Manager.

Undoubtedly Mr. Bunge will continue to exercise his right to speak out and vote for his preferred candidates. However, no one should use Mr. Bunges business issues with Pro-Corn to advance any political agenda.
