As a woman, are you searching for more information about your unique health care needs? Are you interested in improving your quality of life in the new year? To learn more about specific women’s health issues and solutions, plan to attend the free Women’s Health Seminar hosted by Randall Bremner, M.D., Mayo Clinic Health System gynecologist at Winneshiek Medical Center.

Dr. Bremner is hosting the free seminar for area women of every age on Monday, March 3, from 7 – 8 pm in the Mabel Community Center in downtown Mabel.

The seminar will provide valuable health information about up-to-date birth control options, treatment for heavy uterine bleeding, abnormal pap smears, PMS or menopause, pelvic pain or masses, bladder control issues, cancer screenings and sexual intimacy concerns or infertility. Dr. Bremner will also talk about how health care reform may impact individual birth control options for women in the new year.

At Winneshiek Medical Center, Dr. Bremner provides information and counseling on all types of family planning options and methods, and respects the needs and values of each patient. For families interested in permanent birth control options, he offers a procedure that is new to this area that can be done in the comfort of a physician’s office in a few minutes without hormones or the general anesthesia. Dr. Bremner says, “There are great options for women who have completed their families and are interested in a permanent birth control solution. I am pleased to offer options locally for women.”

To register for the upcoming family planning seminar at the Mabel Community Center on Monday, March 3, please call 563-382-2911 or email communityrelations@winmedical.org.
