RUSHFORD, Minn. — Tri-County Electric Cooperative (TEC) recently awarded $18,200 in scholarships to 47 local high school students. Since 1991 the cooperative has given $229,387 to area high school graduates.

DECORAH, Iowa - Kevin Kraus, Luther College vice president for academic affairs and dean of the college, has announced that 792 were named to the 2013 spring semester Dean’s List.
Andrea Shaffer, Luther College junior from Le Roy, Minn., was named to the list.
Sara Pecinovsky, Luther College senior from Mabel, Minn., was named to the list.
Mariah Mierau, Luther College junior from Rushford, Minn., was named to the list.
Samantha Thorson, Luther College sophomore from Rushford, Minn., was named to the list.
Timothy Van Cleave, Luther College senior from Rushford, Minn., was named to the list.
Lydia Petersen, Luther College sophomore from Spring Grove, Minn., was named to the list.
Chelsey Vickerman, Luther College sophomore from Spring Grove, Minn., was named to the list.
To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must earn a semester grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale and must complete at least 12 credit hours with 10 hours of conventional grades (A, B, C, D).
Luther is a selective four-year college located in northeast Iowa. The college has an enrollment of 2,500 students and offers a liberal arts education leading to the bachelor of arts degree in 60 majors and pre-professional programs.
