What a weekend. We took two vehicles to Green Bay, WI. My son and I were in his pick-up truck and my two daughters and daughter-in-law were in her van. It’s a five hour drive up there. We left Harmony about 11:00 am, went thru Winona, pickup up daughter Karen and off we went. What awful weather we drove in. Hard rain, snow and a 50 mile an hour wind. It sure wasn’t a very nice day. We got up there about 4:30 pm. We drove on 54 all the way from Winona to Green Bay, which took us through Black River Falls, which is a terrible winding road and not much to see, trees and water, but I know it is pretty in the summer, but not last Saturday in the rain and snow storm. We went for my grandson’s Confirmation Sunday at the Bethel Lutheran Church in Green Bay.

A woman waited until her husband had finished supper and was settled into his chair in front of the TV set. Then she changed into a cocktail dress and paraded before him. “How do you like my new dress” she asked. “I think it’ll be just the thing to wear to the cocktail party next week.” “Take it back,” her husband said. “It’s terrible. I wouldn’t want to be seen at the party with you in that dress.” ‘That’s just what I hoped you’d say,” she agreed, “this is my old cocktail dress, now I can go buy a new one, thanks, darling.”

Many things about tomorrow
I don’t seem to understand
But I know who holds tomorrow
And I know who hold my hand.
