Still hot and humid, but then I guess it’s summer so we better enjoy it as time is marching on. Was out driving around the other day and when I seen a field of shocks I thought to myself, remember those hot days when dad and us kids had to shock all the grain. It was hot those days, not only in the fields, but when we got home our house was hot, especially when mother had just baked many loaves of bread in the wood stove. We didn’t care how hot the kitchen was, we were hungry and wanted to eat.

Hundreds of top scientists worked together to build the ultimate computer - a master brain with the intellect to answer every question and solve all the mysteries of the world. Finally the machine was completed and ready for its first question. With trembling hands, a scientist fed in the question: “How did the world start?” Lights flashed, wheels whirred, tumblers clinked. Then the machine answered: Genesis 1:1.

My Lord was always there
(written from a prison cell)
There had been times in my life
when I didn’t think anyone cared.
But looking back today,
I see and understand.
Our Lord had to have been there.
Two years ago I was stopped
(one inch below my heart)
I knew at that time the Lord had come into my life,
and gave me a brand new start.
For in most peoples eyes,
I would have been just an old drunk lying there.
But he sent down an angel
who cared
and along with her,
he sent medical care.
I was soon after given
a mere breath of air.
And that’s when I knew,
my Lord was always there
and I know today,
just how much He really cares.

Secrets of Success
“Be up to date,” say the calendar.
“Push,” say the button.
“Take pains,” says the pencil.
“Make light of everything,” says the fire.
“Be sharp in your dealings,” says the knife.
“When you find a good thing, stick to it,” says the glue.[Read the Rest]

Yes, we have had lots of rain, but being dried out must be awful. I heard one lady say, “all I get done is paying the guy who mows my lawn, which he has been mowing twice a week.” I wonder what she would sa .....
