Cheryl Sherry is the new Innkeeper for The Coffee Street Inn located in Lanesboro. Cheryl originally hails from Southern California and comes to the Coffee Street Inn from Fort Dodge, Iowa where she was working as a Community Relations Director in health care. Cheryl and her daughter Rachel are looking forward to becoming a part of Lanesboro's community.
Cheryl has a background in Community Relations, Hospitality, Event Planning, and Media and Marketing management. She also serves on the board for Shellabration Inc., a non-profit entertainment organization that has an annual Oktoberfest event, and an annual rock concert featuring top acts in the industry. She has served on the committee for The Vincent House historical home in Fort Dodge dedicated to the lively arts. Other career and volunteer events include serving on the Frontier Days Festival committee in Fort Dodge, the organizer for the "World Tour of Beers" Gala benefitting the Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk, and coordinator for the American Cancer Society Daffodil Days, and Relay for Life fundraisers in North Central Iowa.
Cheryl and and her daughter Rachel enjoy music, camping and theatre. They have been involved with the Comedia Musica Players, Oakland Cemetery Walk, and Hawkeye Community Theatre in Fort Dodge where Cheryl served on the board and they performed in several productions. Cheryl has also served as a director and volunteer for the National Costumers Association, and also worked for the Colorado Renaissance Festival as the Corporate Event and Wedding Manager.
