This year marks the 30th Annual Art in the Park, set for Father's Day, Sunday, June 20 in beautiful Sylvan Park in Lanesboro, Minnesota, from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. The event, sponsored by the Lanesboro Arts Center, features fine art and craft, live music and entertainment, delicious food, and kids' and family activities.

Celebrating its 30th Anniversary this year, 'Art in the Park' promises a special celebration with fun and festivities! It will feature 80+ art and craft booths as well as delicious locally prepared food and beverages provided by local organizations. Lanesboro is famous for its hospitality and Sylvan Park provides an idyllic setting for the event with shade trees, scenic bluffs, and ponds.

'Art in the Park' features just that - Art! The quality, variety and value of the art is remarkable and always attracts a large regional following. Exhibitors come to Lanesboro from a 5-state region, and this year the festival will include art and craft by more than thirty new exhibitors.

Music / Entertainment: New to the festival this year will be the fabulous musicians of the Twin Cities Hot Club playing live Parisian Swing music-la pompe (acoustic jazz), gypsy bossanova, musette, bolero and swing. Visitors will also enjoy the spirited mirthful entertainment and English folk dancing of the Morris Dancers.

Food: Back by popular demand, the Lanesboro Arts Center will serve egg rolls, vegetarian curry with rice and condiments and salads of locally grown produce. Also available will be pulled pork sandwiches, brats, hot dogs, pickles, Spring Grove Rhub-berry soda, pop and other beverages, provided by local nonprofit organizations. The Arts Center's famous Pie booth will be serving a variety of homemade fruit pies--including rhubarb--as well as ice cream, coffee and other treats.

For Kids and Families: The popular petting ring of baby and domestic animals from area farms will delight children and adults. Children can also visit the Lanesboro Arts Center's "Make a Tie for Dad" booth-supplies and ties provided! Nearby is the playground right in the middle of Sylvan Park.
