UPTOWN ART FAIR AND APPLE TEAM UP TO PRESENT, XAVIER NUEZ, 2010 COMMEMORATIVE ARTIST

Minneapolis (July 30, 2010) - Get a chance to meet the 2010 Commemorative Artist, professional photographer Xavier Nuez before the 2010 Uptown Art Fair kicks off! Nuez's photo which has been chosen for the art fair's commemorative print, comes from his "Alleys" series, and was selected specifically due to its representation of a real urban landscape, resonating with this year's art theme, "Urban Experiences."



The Uptown Art Fair, in partnership with Apple, will host a meet and greet and discussion with Xavier. During this session, meet Xavier and learn about his experiences and inspirations, including his work on the "Alleys" series which highlights beauty in raw urban environments.



Nuez's work has been featured in galleries and museums throughout North America, including the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.

About the Uptown Art Fair

Produced by the Uptown Association, the Uptown Art Fair will take place August 6-8 and will feature more than 360 professional artists, over 40 youth artists, 25 performers and a variety of food vendors. Ranked the No. 1 art fair in Minnesota by the Harris Guide, the three-day event has grown into a nationally recognized fine arts festival attracting more than 375,000 people throughout the weekend.
