“...the biggest party on the Mississippi” – Wabasha County Herald

“Music, art and good food are an integral part to this family-fun festival” - Travelocity

The Wabasha –Kellogg Chamber has been busy planning the 36th Annual Riverboat Days coming this July 25-26. As always, there will be kids’ activities both Friday and Saturday, Carriage Rides, music, food, laughter, and tons of family fun.

New this year will be Wabasha Chopped. The Farmers’ Market with Saint Elizabeth’s Medical Center is presenting four chefs, four baskets, three challenges with only one winner. The Farmers’ Market has agreed to be the pantry for this competition and will have lots of extra ingredients for people to buy and bring home to try to replicate the recipes they see from our wonderful chefs. The chefs are Mitch from Silver Star, Stacy from Stacy’s Kitchen, Scott from the National Eagle Center, and Cassie from the Turning Waters Bed and breakfast. This event will be held Friday, July 25 from 3-6 p.m. Come out to cheer on your favorite chef and see what surprises may be thrown their way as they cook.

Also on Friday, River Junctions Arts Council is presenting the Riverbenders as their free concert Under the Bridge at 7 p.m. The Prairie Fire Children’s Theater presents Aladdin and his Magic Lamp at 7pm at the Wabasha-Kellogg High School Auditorium. Watch as 60 of our local kids get transformed into genies and sing their way out of the most precarious predicaments. End the night with the Lighted Boat Parade coming down the Mississippi River at 9:30 p.m.

Saturday brings tons of excitement. Start your day with the Saint Elizabeth’s Medical Center 5/10K Walk/Run. Right after join Rotary for a nice pancake breakfast and then do some Yoga in Beach Park with Complete Motions. There will be Arts and Craft Vendors, Food Vendors, Kids Inflatables, Volleyball Tournaments, Bean Bag Tournaments, Texas Hold’em, Firemen’s Waterfight, Skateboard/BMX Competition, and so much more in a jammed pack day of fun.

And let’s not forget the last showing of the Prairie Fire’s Aladdin at 2 p.m. at the Wabasha-Kellogg High School. More Carriage Rides and the National Eagle Center Open House at 5 p.m.; all leading up to the Grande Parade at 6pm and the Ducky Derby following it. Watch as the rubber ducks swim their way to from down the Mississippi River in a race of a lifetime… some even make .....
