Graduation
Four local students participated in commencement activities held at Mankato State University in May. Shane McBroom of Chatfield received a BS in Management, Heather Timm of Chatfield graduated Cum Laude with a BS in Finance, Jermy Post of Lanesboro graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BS in Athletic Training, and Mary Hartert of Spring Valley received a BS in Interior Design and Construction Management.

Erin Woxland of Rushford graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a BS in Home Economics Education.

Deans List
Sarah Yeo, daughter of John and Bobbi Yeo, a recent graduate of Fillmore Central High School, was named to the Deans List at Central Arizona College in Coolidge, AZ. Sarah is studying to become a Registered Nurse.

Michael Opat of Chatfield, a Civil Engineering and Management major, Eric Werner of Lanesboro, an Architecture major, and Amy Crussel of Spring Valley, a Doctorate of Pharmacy. major, were all named to the Deans List at North Dakota State University in Fargo.

Three local students have been named to the Deans List at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul. They are Dani Book of Peterson, Kari Byrne of Preston, and Nicole Botcher of Rushford.

Rochester Community and Technical College announced its Deans List last week. Included on the list are the following local students: Canton:/b> Julia Emery and Abby Underbakke; Chatfield: Lorelei Bandel, Brian Blezek, Corey Buenger, Kimberlee Harmening, Denise Long, Jeremy McBroom, William Seamens, Patrick Severson, Teresa Swanson, and Kristy Tenney; Fountain: Theresa Hayden; Lanesboro: Elve Albrecht, Duane Gilbertson, Makaila Jensson, Zachary Ness-Deden, Jennie Rahn; Mabel: Brooke Buxengard; Ostrander: Zachary Schwenn, Sarah Tentis; Peterson: Sherlyn Hanson, Jennifer Pederson; Preston: James Besse, Nicole Danielson, Christina Howard; Rushford: Shannon Corcoran, Joshua Drinkall, Lucas Rye; Spring Valley: Becky Brainard, Joshua Fenske, Matthew Fowler, Trenton Hyland, Lisa Kappers, Stacy Lammers, Darla Lecy, Jonathan Meier, Brent Nodtvedt, Sara Poldervaard, Tiffany Ramaker, Andy Thompson, Chelsea Voigt, Joshua Voigt, Crystal Wiersma; Wykoff: Leah Duxbury, Brenda Nash, Michelle Schmoll, Amy Schwartz, and Nicole Swarthout.
