1st DistrictI and my wife Kathy have been life long residents of the Rushford - Peterson area and have three children, Christian, Aaren and Tristan. We have worked with Fillmore County as licensed Foster Care Parents for approximately 10 years.

I work as a rural mail carrier and also farm part-time with my parents, Truman and Pat Dahl on the family farm where I was raised. Three years ago, I and a business partner developed five acres in the city of Rushford into a 12 unit duplex housing development. This was the first housing project of this type in Rushford, which provided housing that wasn't being met at the time.

I have held two elected offices in Fillmore County. Currently I serve on the Rushford City Council, where I am actively involved in economic growth and development projects that benefit the residents and businesses of Rushford. I also serve on the Rushford Planning Commission, and have served a six year term as a supervisor for the Fillmore County Soil & Water Conservation District.

As a county commissioner, one of my goals would be to give timely and thoughtful responses to business and citizen concerns. Having been on both sides of the table as a land developer, farmer, SWCD and city council board member, I realize the need for informed decision making to take place so projects can move forward in a timely manner. A second goal would be to insure that estimated market values of property are fairly established.
