Kari Byrne, a junior majoring in business administration: financial management, is participating in the University of St. Thomas London Business Semester program this fall. Byrne is the daughter of Thomas and Nancy Byrne, Preston.

Jim Specht is attending Minnesota West Community and Technical College at the Jackson Campus this fall. Jim is pursuing a major in the Electrician program and is a graduate of Fillmore Central High School.

Jonathan Bunge, a Luther College sophomore of Preston, MN was a semi-finalist at the 2001 regional National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) competition Nov 2-3 in Cedar Rapids, IA. Bunge, a 2000 graduate of Fillmore Central High School, is the son of Andrew and Gail Bunge of Preston. He is majoring in music.
