Pearl Bennitta Johnson

Pearl Bennitta Johnson, 82, of Rushford, a longtime beauty shop owner, died May 6, 2001 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford.

Pearl Bennitta Rasmussen was born Nov. 9, 1918, in Rushford and attended Rushford rural schools. On June 5, 1942, she married Edgar M. Johnson. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Johnson owned and operated Pearl's Beauty Shop in Rushford for 38 years. She was a member of Rushford Lutheran Church and its ladies aid.

Survivors include a son, Douglas (Carol) of Dodge Center; three grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a sister, Delores (Arthur) Ensberg of Grand Rapids, Minn.; and a brother, Robert (Lorna) Rasmussen of Rushford. She was preceded in death by a son, an infant sister and four brothers.

The funeral for Pearl Bennitta Johnson was held May 11. 2001 at Rushford Lutheran Church. Burial was in the church cemetery. Hoff Funeral Homes Cook-Rushford Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
